Dai Reynolds
West Brisbane, QLD
Dai Reynolds is a resident of Indooroopilly and the owner of the local Jim's Bookkeeping franchise. He works with business people who struggle to stay on top of their paperwork and with the complexities of accounting and the GST.
"My job is to take the pressure off", says Dai: "To tackle the paper war, the form filling, the bureaucratic red tape. To get their accounts tax-ready while they're off making money - or playing tennis!"
"I also teach them how to make sense of the reports I'm giving them so they'll be able to make the right decisions about what to spend, where to tighten their belt and where to invest."
Dai's experience is wide and varied; having held several senior finance and administration positions as well as many years operating his own businesses he well well positioned to understand your business. His services are available on a casual or retainer basis and may include setting up the business chart of accounts, simple transaction processing, profit and loss reporting, payroll administration and other related tasks.

How Dai Works
Dai does not replace the client's accountant - they have special skills he doesn't claim to possess. Rather he works with them to help the client achieve their business goals.
The first consultation, at which Dai seeks to fully understand the unique aspects of each client's business and what they are trying to achieve, is free.
He does not work on an hourly or daily billing rate, but instead, fixes a fee according to the specific tasks to be performed. (Most clients prefer a fixed fee because there is a cap on their investment - they always know exactly what they're spending so there are no surprises when the bill arrives).
When a client hires Dai they can expect a high-quality, professional service, including:
- Secure courier pick up and delivery of financial documents
- Work processed using the latest financial management software
- Financial reports filed in a personalised folder for easy record keeping
- Back-up copies of financial information stored securely off-site
- Regular face-to-face briefings of the business financial performance
- Free out-of-hours counselling via telephone or email
- The wide expertise and support of a national bookkeeping network
Service Guaranteed
Dai unconditionally guarantees his work to the complete satisfaction of his clients. He undertakes to complete agreed tasks on time and to the very best of his abilities, to return telephone calls promptly, to show up when he says, and to keep the client fully informed.
If the client is not totally satisfied with the service provided (it's never happened), Dai will either completely waive his fees or accept only that portion the client deems appropriate.
Confidentiality Guaranteed
Dai does not disclose who his clients are, the specific work undertaken, or any information obtained about the client's business, without their approval.
Away from business, Dai enjoys supporting the Brisbane Reds, as well as the Wallabies and the Australian cricket team. Dai has been a long time member of Rotary International and was appointed a Justice of the Peace in 2007.
