Mike Pilkington graduated with a B Com(Accounting) degree in 1989, & has since been involved in industrial & commercial accounting, including three years with a professional audit company. During this time, Mike was involved with audits, taxation, accounting & special investigations such as commercial fraud. Mike also holds a diploma in Industrial Relations.
During his career, Mike has worked for both large listed companies as well as small / medium family concerns, & understands how very different their financial needs can be!
After arriving in Perth in 2001, Mike was involved in the Administration & subsequent sale of a company in liquidation & later played a role in the “floating “of a group of companies on the ASX.
Having decided to take control of his future, Mike bought into Jims Bookkeeping as a regional franchisor & runs a bookkeeping franchise within the group. With current clients in a very diverse range of industries, from hairdressing & insurance broking to manufacture & sign writing, Mike has a wealth of knowledge to offer both potential franchisees & bookkeeping clients alike.
Whilst Mike emphasises to potential franchisees that income levels can not be guaranteed, with the right attitude & hard work & plenty of support on all levels, the ability to generate an executive wage & live a very balanced & comfortable lifestyle, is well with in everybody’s reach.
